Tiresias securely and transparently provides timely and comprehensive information to private citizens and businesses on data that concern them, that are kept in its registries.
In order to best serve the public and examine each request, Tiresias uses standardised application forms.
Moreover, detailed instructions on the necessary supporting documents for supplementing or erasing data, as well as data retention periods, are provided via telephone and the Greek website.

Tiresias also responds to requests to exercise rights of access or to provide information via e-mail, provided the conditions listed on our Greek webpage are met.

With regard to applications concerning the supplementation, rectification or erasure of data etc., responses may only be sent via registered post, in order to ensure data confidentiality.

Letters sent via registered post by the company to citizens which are returned or not collected are kept by Tiresias for three (3) months after being returned to sender. Upon the elapse of this period, interested parties may only receive a copy.
More specifically, letters sent via registered post by the company to citizens which concern the provision of detailed data reports to citizens and which are returned or not collected are kept by Tiresias for three (3) months after being returned to sender. Upon the elapse of this period, interested parties must submit a new application in order to receive up-to-date information.

Original supporting documents returned to the company or not collected are kept by Tiresias for ten (10) years from the date the application was submitted.

Response time

The processing time of requests varies, depending on the type of request and whether communications/checks are needed.

Tiresias will respond to your request within no more than thirty (30) days from the date it was filed, save in exceptional circumstances where the above deadline may be extended by a further sixty (60) days, taking into consideration the complexity of the request and/or the number of requests filed by a citizen/enterprise.
In all cases, Tiresias will notify you in good time of any extension to the deadline.
